I really like Online Cards but I am having trouble coping with staying at the maximum 5 active Online Cards.
Nowadays there are so many services that require a tiny subscription. For the last year I dealt with it because there was always a card I could temporary disable while I enabled another but it is getting almost impossible nowadays.
The bigger limit of having 20 online cards per year has not been a problem yet, just the active online card limit.
I am wondering how other people are dealing with this? Are you experiencing the same difficulty?
I am using it wrong? I thought the whole idea was to separate merchants? And for 2 cards I already started to categorise merchants together on the same card.
I am approaching this bunq service as privacy.com, an US-only similar credit card service which can provide a unique card number per merchant.
I am aware of the possibility of paying an extra 10 euros a month but that is financially too steep for me; I feel like that number tells me: don’t do this; you should be able to work with the active 5.
So are you experiencing juggling 5 active online cards too? Or how are you dealing with this? Do you use another service to supplement the 5? Which one?
And am I right about the original intended design? One card per merchant or was that never bunq’s intention?
