  • Mastercard Secure Code / 3 DSecure

Hi,


In FR the Bunq Mastercard it's rejected by many online website because after the authorization delivered by Bunq, the merchant see that the card was not compatible with the 3DS (Mastercard Secure Code) and he reject the payment.


With the app I can see the reserved amount (and would be reversed in a few days) but the reject it's decided by the merchant because the transaction it's not protected by 3DSecure.


The fraud system see that my IP is in FR, my address is in FR but the BIN Card is in NL the card doesn't pass by 3DS and the AVS (Address Verification System) is not available with this card.


Payment authorized by Bunq but high fraud risk score, result transaction abandoned by the merchant.


That would be great if you can put 3DS available for the Bunq Mastercard 🙂

Eventually if you can enable AVS in the same time that can help to prove that the owner it's a FR with a FR address but use this NL bin card.

    Hi Damien, we currently do not support this, as 3D secure is really a mind tease to implement in a secure yet user friendly way, but we will find a way! I've moved your question to the wishlist and we will update this topic when we have news!
