  • Logincode instead of FaceID

In more an more countries face masks are advised to limit the spread of COVID-19. Wearing a mask obstructs the face, therefore FaceID does not work. To authenticate payments, it would be nice if you could authenticate them using the pincode

    Hi 👋 @Jos-Maroon-Butterfly#164800

That should be possible by disabling FaceID in the bunq app settings under Profile > Face ID. It should then ask you for the logincode to verify payments.

Tim changed the title to Logincode instead of FaceID.

@Jos-Maroon-Butterfly#164800 You should be able to put on your mask, then go to iPhone Settings -> FaceID. Then tap the button to configure an extra look. This will make FaceID attempt to recognise you with your mask on as well.

Whether or not it works varies and it’ll fail more often, but in the winter when I have my face wrapped in a scarf it’s perfectly capable of recognising me 80% of the time as well - so I’d suggest you give that a shot. :)
