Hey bunqers 🌈
Via bunq.to link, you can now send money without the hassle of asking for an IBAN number. Funds can be sent directly to the receiver’s phone number or email address and give them the freedom to decide which bank account they want to receive them on.
What is bunq.to?
It’s a feature you can use to send money to phone numbers or email addresses that aren't linked to a bunq account. So you can easily send money to any of your contacts 🙌
How can I send funds via bunq.to?
You can send money via bunq.to by following these simple steps:
- Go to 🏠 Home Page
- Tap on Pay
- Enter an email address or phone number
- Tap on “Send payment”
- Done 🎉
What happens after I send the link to the receiver?
After sending the bunq.to payment, the receiver will either receive an email or a SMS which contains a link that leads to the bunq.to webpage. On this webpage the receiver can enter their IBAN, to which the money will be sent as a regular SEPA transfer.
A bunq.to payment expires after 5 days, if the recipient doesn't claim the payment. The money will then return to your bunq bank account and we’ll let you know with a notification.
Are there any limits?
It’s also good to know that there's a limit of €50,000 total per day. You can check out this topic for more information.
Good to know
You can send money through bunq.to in EUR only. For outgoing payments in other currencies, you’ll need the receiver’s bank account details.
A bunq.to payment expires after 5 days of no response. The money will then return to the sender's bank account.
The difference between shared requests and all other types of requests is that a shared request isn't directed to a specific person. A shared request only contains the amount of money that's requested. After confirming the request you'll get an URL that can be shared via multiple platforms (WhatsApp, Messenger, email) to an unlimited number of people.
A shared request closes after 30 days and can be paid by an unlimited amount of people through iDEAL or SOFORT
