  • Datum ipv “gisteren” of “vandaag”/ Date instead of "yesterday" or "today"

    Hello Hubertus

Thanks a lot for your feedback!

This is something that we can definitely look at so I added it to the wishlist. In the meantime, if you want to have exact dates and times on your transactions you can download your bank statements in the app! 👍

Hi Katherina. I noticed this by taking a look at the two screenshots I sent you in the personal post earlier today

Gisteren 19/04

              Hello all!

I come bearing good news 🙌

This is available for both Android and iOS now: users can tap on a relative date like "Yesterday" to get a full date like "30 May 2018" in the event details.

              Cheers!

This sounds not very practical. I think most of the users doesn't even realize this is possible of perhaps forget over time. I think it would be far better to always show the full date on the event detail and terms like yesterday on the event screen. I think this will be acceptable for all user.

I Disagree. I think it’s a very elegant solution. Seeing yesterday or today is faster because people often don’t remember what date it is. Having the option to see the absolute date however is useful. Moreover, on iOS many (system) apps have similar mechanisms to switch between dates or other types of information just like this.

I agree that people may not always remember the current date. But, that's why I proposed to use terms as Today and Yesterday on the Events-tab. Personally I dont have many app (android) that have similar function.

But any way... I think it is a personal preference. Personally both options don't bother me. Still, I'm always curious about what users think about options and why.

                      Eens met John Do.

I agree with John, I even had trouble finding the ‘solution’...

I don’t really understand why the solution has to be so hidden (or ‘elegant’ if you will). Clicking on a tiny date within one event item is very unnatural and not intuitive at all. Why can’t the bolt text in the event overview just say ‘yesterday, 30 may...’ and the small text of a transaction just the date of yesterday.

This doesn't seem to work for me on Android. No matter where I tap, the full date does not show.

It took me a while to find it Edward. When you click on a specific payment, you get a detailed screen with the payment description, the card which was used during the payment and the date. When you paid (or received) today or yesterday, the field behind paid/ received will say for example: "Today, 10:15". Click on this field, and it will change to "June 1, 10:15".

Maybe it’s an idea to make the change permanent when you tap the date. So that if you prefer the exact date you don’t have to tap it every single time.

Tapping a random date would just switch the settings for al subsequent dates.

That way the implementation would stay the same, but it becomes a lot more useful for people who prefer the exact dates.
