Why would the Ukraine and Poland can be supported and bot The Netherlands? It is not that Apple is reluctant to enrol new countries in Europe, so suspicion leads to think the banks are to blame.
I don't know how an enrolment works, but I see an exclusive deal in Belgium on the start of the enrolment so I start to think it only needs one bank to persuade Apple to enrol in The Netherlands.
As bunq already has the infra structure in place for Apple Pay (for support in Spain, Italy et cetera), they could be the first bank to support Apple Pay in The Netherlands. Other will have to follow.
On the other hand I suspect bunq of already talking with Apple about enrolment, but can't disclose anything until the official announcement. Maybe Apple waits for another bank to be ready as well.
They will surprise us any moment now (predictably this spring).
