@Elise-Green-Puma-3805320311#26166 That’s not really communicating, is it? Just a bunch of words that have no substance.

In my view there are two possible outcomes :

  1. ‘We f*ckud up. Sorry about that, the feature will be back ASAP. We will communicate better in the future.’

  2. ‘We have a vision and this feature is not part of that. (Enter explanation for removal here). Sorry about not communicating this sooner here on together and in the changelogs.’

    @Mike#26171 Hey Mike,
Thanks for your clear opinion on this topic, but I really think that you are a bit too harsh with our dear bunq employees here. In my opinion they really take the voice of the community into account, and I am sure that they will re-evaluate their decision for removing that feature. So maybe they could voice their statements a little different, but I really think that they actually do what they are writing. 👍

So please not get too frustrated in this topic, keep the high-fives flowing in and lets see what bunq decides about this feature! 👏

      Hi @Mike#26171,

We took away this feature to simplify the app (as you an openly share your bunq.me link now in Whats App).

With this being said, if you all communicate that you wish to see a feature once again, this is then something we are happy to consider. So that is why it is great when you all share your feedback and ideas here on Together (and high-five topics 👏) so we can see what is most important to you all and then make changes accordingly.

@JanBrodda#26177 I honestly don’t think it’s harsh. It’s fair criticism on the constant lack of communication. And not only on this subject. Bunq has proven again and again that communicating is not really their strong point. This is worrying to me, given the fact bunq is indeed a bank. They handle my money, so I need to trust them.

I saw screenshot of bunq employees telling customers the feature will be back in the next update. If that is indeed the case, why not communicate this? Be honest and clear to your customers. That’s all I’m asking.

@Elise-Green-Puma-3805320311#26185 Do you have analytics in place to see what parts and functionalities of the app is heavenly used?

@Michiel-de-Jong#26210 Hi Michiel 👋. bunq is very data driven❗ So, featured are altered or deleted almost always based on analytics. bunq also want to keep the app as clean as possible. So, if data shows that a feature is hardly ever used, they remove the option to keep the app simple and clean for everybody. However, I don't know which arguments played a role in this particular case tho.

Hope this gave you in general a bit of an insight.
            Have great day Michiel

Ah great to hear you have that kind of data! I work at one of the biggest online retailers in the Netherlands, and we are certainly never ever allowed to take out a feature as harshly as bunq just did without providing an equally good alternative. If bunq.me is supposed to be the alternative its not quite ready yet....

We use beta-testers, a-b testing or do a poll or something to get an idea what the impact of a change is combined with analytics data.

Anyway I think its a good idea to reconsider the way you guys ‘clean up’ the app. Everyone makes mistakes, the hard part is to learn from them.

Four other BUNQ-ers here (we’re a pack) that would like to see the ‘copy link’ feature back! The bunq.me page is cute but I never use it since i want to fill in the amount myself before sending the link.

                  @Elise-Green-Puma-3805320311#26185

                  2 remarks:

1 why do some users then still have this feature, whilst being on the latest version of the app
2: this topic already has almost double the amount of high fives of the other 19 topics you see when you open together on the web combined! You have got to admit that is feedback itself.

(on the web, together shows the first 20 topics; this topic has a total of 122 high fives, the rest combined 69)

How could you guys have removed this. The one feature from bunq to not have to reach out to Tikkie. Used it a lot and can’t believe it is removed. Please bring this back ASAP.

Create request, meerdere ontvangers.... Then choose nothing but continue... And whalla... The button appears

The answer on this question passed a few time... Please take time to read
... THE FEATURE IS STILL THERE

@HUGHEN-Aquamarine-Quokka#26327 And the answer to your claim has also been given a few times. This does NOT work on iOS

@Elise-Green-Puma-3805320311#26185 Hi Elise, that's true... I could send a bunq.me/johndo/5 link 🔗 in WhatsApp 🤳. But, the reason I like to make a request within the app sometime:
                            - this way I can set the amount in a way it can't be changed.
                            - this way the app groups all the payments received by people who used that link in the event tab. And even shows the total amount received.
So, would love 😍 to see this feature back.

@HUGHEN-Aquamarine-Quokka#26327 Would love you to read yourself dude. The feature is gone on iOS. You simply cannot not choose a receiver. You need to choose at least one receiver in order to be able to push the button to continue otherwise it is just grayed out.

                                I’m loving the bunq.me/$username/$amount option since it’s out 😎

                                  Hi all,

After a few days and A LOT of high fives on this topic, I think bunq knows to bring something like it back.

I just wanted to let bunq know that it doesnt have to be exactly what it was. Maybe you can transform bunq.me so that it works for people. For example when you can also make groups in bunq.me. For example bunq.me/name/requestA/10. So this is request A, with amount of 10 (not editable in subgroups). These requests have to be visible in the events menu, or somewhere else.

Another tip: if youre working on this (after complaints) just tell us: ok, we misjudged, give us time, we are gonna think about it. Then you can take time to redesign, and we are happy because we’re eventually getting our feature back. You dont have to announce things when they are new!

@Eric-Green-Badger#26349 A little addition: please make sure to make it possible to have a request connected to a bunq account. Last week I had two simoultaneous requests, one to my friends, and one to family. They both had to fill different accounts (friends fill the beer jar, family filled the birthday jar). In bunq.me, this isnt possible now.

Please bring this back, it has made bunq a hero amongst my rugby team for handling group payments through WhatsApp.
