So this is my goodbye to Bunq. I’ve been banking with Bunq since 2016. For all my banking business. Up until a month ago I had no other active account with any other bank. But I really felt I had no other choice than to switch now and leave Bunq. Why?
Bunq has proven to be unreliable. The official statement was that as a Bunq More member, at the time that type of membership was discontinued, I could continue as-is until my cards expired. But all of a sudden without any communication beforehand, my Bunq More account was suddenly changed to a Premium account. I had to ask customer support what was going on.
And this was after they had already tried to convert me to Premium some time earlier by sending an email telling me I would be automatically upgraded if I didn’t opt-out within 24hrs or so. Well I did opt out, and finally they just upgraded me anyway a few weeks ago.
Right in the middle of the whole COVID-19 pandemic! When people have other things on their mind and don’t need their bank to start pulling tricks on them. I really had to go out of my way to get a new banking account elsewhere with all the restrictions in place, but I did.
This is just unacceptable behavior for a bank. And there is not any way to justify this. It basically forced me to leave. A bank needs to be reliable and trustworthy.
Also the whole tree loving and rainbow emoji thing doesn’t appeal to me at all: Bunq is a bank. To get my environmental itch scratched I’ll go somewhere else. But I could have ignored that if the core banking business was up to par. But it looks to me to be at the expense of new innovative banking features. The Bunq update events became less interesting to me as the years went by: each time less and smaller features that appealed to me.
Best features of Bunq that I already miss? Ability to easily forward an incoming payment, and converting an automatic debit to a request. That last one is really a killer feature. Also having a custom picture (photo) for each bank account is great, to help quickly identify and locate it. Though this seems to be removed in the latest version of the app...
But alas, there is just no way I can stay. Maybe one day I’ll come back. But my trust in Bunq will first have to be rebuilt. A good first step in that would be to not moderate, move or even remove this post. As Bunq seems to be doing to some posts, for questionable reasons imho.
Goodbye Bunq.

Finde ich sehr bedenklich ehrlich gesagt und wirft auf kein gutes Bild auf die Kritiker.

@Tristan-Grey-Tiger#173047 AMEN to everything Tristan noted. This is such a self-important app. The Bunq app was great and I used to recommend Bunq to everyone because it was ahead of all the others in that sense. I'm considering a move.
Kunnen we aub terug naar de vorige interface, dit is gewoon onwerkbaar... Onderdelen die eerst op een logische plek zaten zitten nu 5 menu's diep. Ondertussen wordt je op elk scherm bomen info geforceerd terwijl ik daar niks mee te maken hen (doe niet mee met dat hele greencard gebeuren). Heb noh nooit zo'n slechte update ervaring gehad als bunq v3.
I prefer the old design over V3, but this is not a huge problem for me at the moment because I'm unable to pay using my online cards, either using the card information or by using Apple Pay. I could really use some help.

Ich muss nicht mit der Menge ziehen, wie viele andere. MIR gefällt die V3 und das ist meine Meinung ! Eventuell, weil ich nicht in der Vergangenheit hängen geblieben bin ! Ich gehe mit der Zukunft ! Ich zahle genau wie sie eine monatliche Gebühr und dafür bekomme ich guten Service bei bunq ! Ich habe Glück damit, das müssen sie mir nicht wünschen 😊 Akzeptieren Sie die Meinung anderer, so wie ich die Meinung anderer akzeptieren. Danke 🙏🏼 und bunq macht einen super Job 🌈🌈🌈🙏🏼
Het is me inmiddels ook duidelijk geworden dat sommige functies pas beschikbaar worden voor 'supergreen', bijvoorbeeld 'bonnetjes matchen' en 'zapier'. Ik weet niet of dit nog beschikbaar is voor een gewoon business-account. Blijkbaar heb je nu een "premium-premium"-abonnement (bunq supergreen) nodig om alle functies te hebben. Waar gaat dit heen? Welke nieuwe functies komen er nog; en komen die dan nog wel beschikbaar voor een premium-abonnement? Het is niet eerlijk om de spelregels steeds te veranderen.

No!!!! How many user responses are needed before you admit v3 is not the way forward? 90% of the responses were negative.
But you simply open a new thread, are still ‘exited’ and there are only a few issues. Right. Think I’ll have to vote with my feet then.
Why not give people a choice between V2 and 3?

Sorry. Dit is echt slecht. Ik wil gewoon geld ontvangen en versturen. Al die troep met badges etc. etc. Bomen, CO2 bespaart is prima, maar gooi het niet zo op de voorgrond. Dat soort dingen staan wel op de voorgrond, maar naar je zakelijke rekening gaan is niet te vinden. Jullie slaan echt een beetje door.
Last week I rerouted every payment, incl salary from my old bank to Bunq. I'm will revert it all back again unless:
- Us tab is removed (I don't care about Instagram)
- 'Saved' buttons are removed from home screen (I don't need to see this in such a prominent place)
- Profile completion is removed when profile is completed (I know I completed my profile; did that years ago)
- It is made easier to hide balance (as it was before, now it is 3 clicks instead of 1)

Btw I can't find together/support in the new app.
