• Unable to make large payments from savings account

So I have a savings account from which i would like to make a larger payment. I'm running into a few issues doing this:

1) From the V3 app i'm not even able to make a payment from this account at all. I am possible to create a payment from Bunq Web
2) When trying to do the payment on Bunq Web, i get denied because i reached my daily limit. It is not possible to change the daily limit for the savings account.

Now I already know how I can solve this; I can transfer the large sum of money to my main account and make the payment from that account.
However for this payment I need to prove that the money is mine and i have to issue bank statements. With all this transferring money between accounts, i need to make a bank statement for both accounts(main and savings) so i can prove the money is mine. It might not seem like a big problem, but so far all notaries and mortgage advisors I have spoken to don't really understand whats going on and this is causing quite some frustration when your in the process of buying a house.

Am I missing something here? Or is this just such an edge case that it is not taken into account?

Define large. I know for a fact that the daily limit is 50k. Had issues with that myself as well

@Gaston#176785 You are correct, however this is only true for a personal account. I'm talking about a saving account for which you are unable to change the daily limit which i am guessing is set to 1000. So in this case, large is anything over that.

What is a saving account at bunq? There are no different types of accounts, as far as I know.

@Timothy-Yellow-Cheetah#176839 I try to understand what you mean. Can you explain it a bit more so I can help?

Every sub account is a full bank account. There are no “saving accounts”. Maybe you refer to Saving Goals? Those are also regular bank accounts. For all accounts goes that you can set the daily limit yourself. Up to €50.000

          Take a look here: https://together.bunq.com/d/6635-what-are-my-daily-limits

@JohnDo Can you then tell me how to change the daily limit of a savings goal account? Nowhere in the app or bunq web can i find it. The options for savings goals are different than "normal accounts" its seems.

I have followed the instructions according to the link you provided. However since a savings goal account seems to be considered different, the settings that show are not the options i see in the documentation. This is why im slightly confused.

@Timothy-Yellow-Cheetah#176931 in a savings-account you can only 'withdraw all' which is > 50k in your case.

create new payment from other account, before you click 'send payment' change 'from' account.

              hth.

@Hoedlmoser#176937 That's where i get an error that says i hit the daily limit. I cannot change the limit of this account, because when i tap "Change limit" it beings me to the account settings, and there is no daily limit even visible.

So basically it seems Savings goals accounts are not handled the same as regular accounts. Even though they all have their own IBAN. This just doesn't make sense.

looks like the only chance is to transfer in small parts to main account.

@Timothy-Yellow-Cheetah#176783 There are actually several ways to achieve what you want.

Select your savings goal and tap on the dotted dot in the upper right corner, there are the settings of the account. You can change the daily limit there.

Select your savings goal and tap on the large coloured plus-dor in the lower part of your screen. Then select the option to withdraw all.

A third option would be to choose one of your other accounts and choose the option to add money and select an bunq account as your source.

Bunq is actually not the best bank to handle large funds. As they have a cap of 50k, large transfers will be an issue. So when you have those on a regular base, you should consider seeking another bank for those transactions.

However, the option to transfer a large sum in portions is a hassle, but will work for an occasional large transfer.

@Samzoiets#176980 "Select your savings goal and tap on the dotted dot in the upper right corner, there are the settings of the account. You can change the daily limit there."
This does not show for me in the new app(android). I only have the following options when tapping the gear icon for a savings goals account:
                      - Personalize
                      - User access
                      - Auto save
                      - Savings goal
                      - Close account
