Call it a bunq run or breaking with bunq, but the time has come for me to cancel my private bunq bank account. I started this year with a resolution to switch to a green and trustworthy bank. And so I did. I switched from ING to bunq. I already used bunq for my business, and had such a great experience.

How the tables have turned just a little over 6 months later...

Strike 1: force long-time users into new payment plans and surrounding it all with the worst communication ever
Strike 2: force V3 onto everybody even though beta testers made their concerns very clear
Strike 3: updating V3 head over heals without any clear vision / making rash decisions

And you know what 3 strikes mean? You're out. It's not so much that I couldn't get used to V3 (even though I believe V2 was much better), but it's a matter of trust, and you've lost mine. You've also the 'gunfactor' (customer's goodwill loosly translated), which is the single most important thing you could have as a company.

Ali, if there is any chance you read this: please read Ego Is The Enemy by Ryan Holiday. It's a great read about true leaders and their actions. I highly recommend it to you, because I firmly believe you've let your ego get the better of you.

One last thing: I switched to ASN Bank and it took me just over an hour total. So the 'time saved' feature, as I suspected, is far from representative. And their app is working great. Yeah, is looks a pit plain, but at least I can find every option within 2 clicks.

P.S. I will for now keep my business account at bunq because I do think bunq offers great features - if you can find the in the app. So I hope to see V3 improve dramatically in the next couple of weeks / months. Good luck!

    I see Bunq is listening, a bit, slowly the app is becoming what it should be. Light mode is great, needs to be refined but it will be all right. Still the co2 and time saving information is way to prominent. You don't need to use that information every day. But I'm sure they will find that out eventually.

      @bunq#179369 Vraag/verzoek: waarin staat de 'Mijn Bunq.me link' onder 'Van Ons' ipv 'Voor mij'. Koste me aardig wat zoekwerk om deze te vinden...

        Update with the card is definitely an improvement.

        I think bunq had a small misunderstanding though: people say they don’t find the 3 circles useful, not that they don’t understand what they display. I don’t rly understand why they were highlighted again after the updates.

        Also, why is the plus a lightning now? I don’t rly find this more... clear?

          Waarom moet je in de transactie de extra info open klappen, haal dit weg en toon direct alle info, onnodige extra handeling!

            @R#181468 Because a + button suggests that you can add something, but bunq was not using it for that purpose everywhere. That's why a + icon was confusing

              Bei Lastschriften können nach wie vor keine Notizen bzw. Quittungen hinterlegt werden.

              Will man sich die Optionen bei einer Karte mit dem „+“ Button anzeigen lassen werden beim ersten Mal nicht alle angezeigt. Erst beim zweiten Mal.

              „Kontoauszug erstellen“ wird immer noch in zwei MenĂŒs angeboten („+“ bzw. „...“).

              Ansonsten ist das neueste Update sehr gelungen!!!

                    Es wĂ€re toll, wenn man das Symbol fĂŒr gemeinsame Konten wieder direkt auf der Kachel in der KontenĂŒbersicht hĂ€tte und nicht erst, wenn man das Unterkonto öffnet.

                    Die Anzeige des personalisierten Namen von online Karten in der KartenĂŒbersicht wĂ€re auch noch toll. Plus vllt die Möglichkeit, selbst fĂŒr die Kacheln eine Farbe aussuchen zu können.

                        Great that you moved the percentages back to the stacks (on the card). Would it be possible to make it both ways, so or percentage or just total amount of money which is then an option in settings.

                        Could you also make sure that I can choose which accounts get added to the total card, not just by not showing that card

                            V3 is actually getting better and faster to use. Here iOS 14.0.4 has once again made a big difference, thanks.
                            Especially the card view and the account change for the cards has been improved significantly.

                            It could be even better:
                            The right circle in the menu of each account not only shows an icon image of a card, but directly the linked card without me having to click on it. This would make it easier to get a quick overview and I would only have to click on it to change something.

                            The right circle in the menu of a savings account should also show the linked card, just like a normal account, not a piggy bank with "money saved". The info "money saved" (I find nonsense anyway) is already in the main screen of "For me" and is only doubled here and not informative for this particular account. On the other hand, the display of the linked card would be very important here, just like with any other account. Sometimes I want to spend money by card from a savings account, especially when I'm saving for holidays. In this case there are always expenses for the vacation in between (flight ticket, hotel, car reservations ...) and then on vacation all expenses on the spot with the linked card. I would like to see this card link on the savings account page just as quickly as with any other account.

                                      Ich benutze bunq zusĂ€tzlich zu Android testweise auch auf einem iOS GerĂ€t. Welche Version ist neuer? Auf dem iPhone sieht das anders aus !? Die Kacheln auf der me seite sieht anders aus auch die Karten Sektion sieht anders aus. Kommt das auch fĂŒr Android?
