The search function in the accounts is not yet working as expected. When I search in a specific account I would expect that it only searches the transactions of that account. Instead it shows the results of all accounts together > something to be expected when searching in the Totals tile.

Nick Agree. I see that with more options that are on a lower level but act as if the where on a higher level in the navigation structure. For instance: you can set the allowed countries in the settings of an individual card ... but this alters all cards I noticed.

Options on the wrong level in the navigating structure is the main reason people complain of not be able to find stuff in their first attempt. Also it doesn’t help that there are more menus a user can choice from.

But the good news is.... this is relative easy to fix! And bunq already has done that for a few options.

So, some small tweaks and everybody will be able to navigate blindfolded!

You can adjust the search filter string settings, tap in the search bar and than tap the circle with the 3 strips.

Johan 🇳🇱 That’s true and the filter settings are quite handy and work very well, however I still think it does not work as expected.

I think that:
- searching via Totals = searching all accounts
- searching via account = one specific account

Otherwise one search bar would be sufficient. Which does not have my preference as you will need to deselect accounts that you want to exclude one by one.

I agree with John Do, that this and the other things he mentioned (e.g. allowed countries) cause confusion with users.

Hi bunq,

I am usually the first to jump on any new version and do not mind to run bleedin edge beta versions. However, the V3 app is soo much worse in its UI compared to the V2, I really wish I could go back.

The things I need regularly (scheduled events, access to the community discussions, etc.) are so well hidden now and have been replaced by completely useless stuff like how many trees and that „Us“ tab that I don‘t need since I am already a customer and its mostly advertising shiny bling bling.

V2 was sooo much better than any other app from any other bank I ever had.

My wishlist:

Either roll back V2 and evolve from that one (btw, its ok to admit you might have f*cked that one up). Or
Bring the functionality of V2 back with that V3 black/fancy design if you really feel that you need a visual overhaul.

I would like to express my frustrations about the new user interface of the bunq app.

So many functionalities are misplaced.

• I don't think anybody cares about anything that's shown under the "Us" tab, I expected my bunq pack there (which I don't need either, but more that what's there now). That tab is just in the way and needs to go.

• Camera is also in a weird place, that wouldn't need a separate tab.

• I can no longer choose what accounts should be added to total, which sucks, because I don't want my savings account to be included.

• I dont want money, co2 and time saved at the top of my accounts tab.

• Profile stats should go and the tab should be renamed to Spending.

• It's now very difficult to differentiate between cards, especially physical and online cards, but also just overall.

• It takes too long for me to get to paying with Tap & Pay (too many clicks).

• I have to re-enable Tap & Pay each time I want to use it and after I click to see which account it is connected too.

• I cannot see what account Tap & Pay is connected to without having to re-enable the card after.

• I would appreciate if accounts took up a full row instead of half. This makes it look very chaotic.

• You could probably add a tap & pay option to each bank account, instead of making it a separate card.

• The "+" on the profile tab is in the way and unrelated to the page.

• On the profiles tab under add-ons there's no add-ons available so why would you even show me that?

• I also don't care about my profile stats. This isn't social media, it's my bank account.

• I do like the new balance prediction and that it's on a new page. Too bad I can no longer scroll through it.

• After clicking all available buttons I finally found light-mode, and it looks disgusting.

• I can no longer see the full name of my bank account because they are only half the width.

• I want to be able to choose what my total should be based on again. I don't want it to be based on my visible accounts.

• Remove the instagram feed, if I wanted to see that I would just follow you on Instagram.. I don't.

I sincerely hope you use my feedback.

I’m very happy to see how quickly you are implementing our feedback. However I’m very concerned about a fundamental design choice, it seem that a lot of the app revolves around up selling premium super green. To me this is the reason for the very intrusive info on top of the main page and the me page.

This does not make me feel valued as a premium customer. A lot like the blanked out switches in cars were the option you didn’t get go.

Please stop this up selling, premium is expensive enough as is.

Kijken jullie naar apps van andere banken? Persoonlijk vind ik de KNAB app echt amazing. Direct OVERZICHT (in één oogopslag) van je rekeningen, Als je op een rekening klikt, direct OVERZICHT. De ING app heeft dit ook. Je denkt misschien: waarom gebruikt ze capslock? Maar ik mis gewoon enorm het OVERZICHT. En volgens mij is dat het enige wat er écht toe doet als je bankiert. Omdat jullie internetbankieren- website ook weinig mogelijkheden biedt en nog minder overzicht, lijkt me dat de app dit zou moeten compenseren. Er gaat nu zoveel aandacht uit naar kinderachtige stickers, medailles halen en zwartruimte (wel blij met de lightmodus!) dat de meest basale functies waar ik voor kom, niet aan bod komen.
Het is voor mij in elk geval duidelijk dat ik voor mijn andere rekeningen niet overstap van bank. Ik vertrouw erop dat jullie ontwikkelaars dit beter kunnen.

The latest iterations of the app have really improved the usability, however, there is still lot's of room for improvement. Please focus on being a bank first and a green company second...

being able to hide the entire US tab
being able to hide the money/co2/time saved stickers
having a crystal clear cards overview (it's better then the previous versions of V3, but still miles away from V2)
I still don't know on which page I have to tap the flash or the 3 dots to find what I'm looking for
being able to select which account I want to include in the total money counter, without completely hiding the accounts I don't want/need

That being said, I've talked with multiple bunq users, the silent majority, and they really really dislike the app. Just because they are silent, that doesn't mean they agree with what you are doing with the design of the app.

Include your users upfront, not when things explode afterwards...

Hola Bunq. The newest update keeps on crashing whenever I try to access my monthly budgetting (under profile). It crashes when I try to see all accounts of a subcategory.

I discovered the same issue half an hour ago. Then I saw that there is already a new version in the Google Play store. That newest version seems to have fixed this.

buiten het feit dat ik geen voorstander ben van de V3 app door het zeer onlogische UX design, heb ik helaas het idee dat jullie daar niets aan gaan/willen doen. Jammer dat het design ansich niet meer vooruitstrevend is en er zelfs wordt gekopieerd vanuit concurrerende apps

Kunnen jullie iig wel een passelectie toevoeging doen op het 'landingsscherm', zodat ik niet eerst minuten aan het zoeken ben waar ik mijn pas moet switchen van rekening? Kopieer anders de passelectie ook vanuit de concurrent. Deze is snel en gebruiksvriendelijker.

Mochten jullie toch terug stappen naar V2 gaat hier natuurlijk de vlag uit!

indeed some of the problem has been solved but i have noticed some irregularities which dont yet function as it used to/supposed to.

1.The accounts backround picture is distorted or missing

2.The account balance written with white characters are very hard to read especially because they are overlayed on a picture.

3.There is no Delete function for the online cards which are assigned to a specific account

4.The order of the cards cannot be modified similar to the main account icons.

5.With the previous platform you could see in realtime the progress of your outstanding balance in time as you were scrolling down, this you can not do it here.

6.Everytime i pay with my phone and i want to pay again i need to exit completely to the main menu and go back otherwise i do no longer have the option to PAY but rather ENABLE TAP AND PAY.

Advice

Although the icons are wider, the picture square size should remain the same and rest remaining space should have the color of our choice.

V3 is a mess. So cluttered.. Thinking of switching to a different online bank.
Also my tree count is back to 0 😪

I tried creating a version of the bunq app (V3.1?) that uses wider cards, and one with images as background. I think it looks better! This isn't far from perfect: icons are missing and maybe somewhere the Pay and Request buttons could be added, but I like the idea of having more space for account names and card info. What do you guys think?

I think I might have an unpopular opinion at this stage, but the latest updates are a big step in the right direction. 👍

I’d really like to see the circles in the “me” tab be more flexible. Why not give us the option to display total balance for example? I’m sure there’s other interesting (and above all relevant) stuff to display there at the users discretion. The US tab has potential, but I feel it would be more valuable with nicely curated “help” and “advice” content. Not flashy Insta posts.

Light mode isn’t quite there yet in terms of look, but great that you already released it to quiet some of the complaints!

V2 would launch in less than a Sec and V3 takes about 5-6 secs to load. I am using iPhone11 Pro so it’s not my phone that is causing the issue. App updates are expected to at least boost performance, not degrade them at least. This update is indeed very frustrating.

so my comment got removed cause it was "unconstructive", which is literally the last thing it was. Sure I was harsh, but it was full of points of improvement. Here we go again, now a bit nicer not to hurt your feelings.

The navigation system in the new app is inconsistent. In the old app I could switch profiles on every screen, but in the new app the bottom navigation vanishes when you click through to your account. You can then only go back with the built-in left arrow on top left of the screen. If I use my phone's navigation to go back, I'm being logged out.
The colorful thunder button in the center is now context related which is very confusing to say the least. On the home screen the button allows you to open an account (I don't need more accounts, this can be hidden under settings somewhere) and some other things that are irrelevant to daily payment processes. While when I first click my account and then click the thunder button thingy, it allows me to make payments. This is so confusing? Why does 1 button have multiple context related features?
The "van ons" button is not something I need in my main navigation. All information under that button is useless to me, sorry.
I used to be able to switch profiles on every screen (I use bunq private and for business) but now with the vanishing bottom navigation this is no longer possible. Whenever the Profile button is on my screen, I still need to tap that, then the 3 dotted nav buttons on top right, then I can switch profiles. But this doesn't work on all screens, as again the dotted navigation on top right is now also context related.
The app is a lot slower and randomly freezes on my phone. This is frustrating as well.
