Choose to Send Classic SEPA transfer, NOT instant

Hi, I'm trying to verify my BUNQ iban on my COINBASE account.

I followed the instructions to the letter, but each time, my sepa verification transfer to COINBASE is sent back.

Coinbase assistance told me that the problem is that I make a SEPA INSTANT transfer, instead to verify my BUNQ iban, I MUST make a SEPA CLASSIC transfer (not instantaneous).

My question is: is there an option that allows me to perform a simple (non-instantaneous) classic SEPA transfer within my bunq account?

Vladlens Hi Vladlens. No, there unfortunately isn‘t such a possibility. A transfer is only sent as a slow SEPA bank transfer in case the other bank does not support instant transfers. Well, actually if you try to send more than 15000 Euros, then a slow bank transfer is used because that‘s the current limit for instant transfers. But I can‘t think of an actual practical way to force one.

This happens because the coinbase bank has become part of the instant sepa circuit, therefore bunq will always send instant transfers to banks belonging to the instant circuit. It is a big limitation, too bad

I agree we should be able to choose whether to use instant transfer or not.

I think Coinbase fixed that as I just verified the account by using a SEPA instant transfer from BUNQ.
