Cees Haha @ "Wife Acceptance Factor" ๐
I recognise some of your struggle/pain. I am also feeling TAB-backfire (Tech Advise Boomerang). ๐
It gets especially toe-curling (Dunglish) if you look at long-term effects. (Just examples)
One advises using Gmail Beta... then look at it 10 years later.
One advises using Telegram... then look at it 5 years later.
One advises using Hue xor Ikea-Tradfi etc.... then look at it 5 years later.
One advises using Intel over AMD... then look at it 10 (?) years later.
One advises using a bank app... then look 5 at it years later.
WAF is incompatible with any sub-optimal experimental states or doubt. The problem is: if everything evolves so quickly every x-years, the WAFs desired stability-quota can only be found in traditional choices which does not have all the fancy stuff you/we want.
I know your question might be rhetorical; however, I think any company unfortunately has to fight optics and cannot show weakness and cornered companies can make weird jumps.
I just wish we could help them, if they need it. (I don't really know.)
About the TAB-B and WAFs: enjoy the good, maybe have a shorter tech-life expectancy and [relativeren] like this guy๐คฏ.
*P.s. I switched to English due to replying to WAF term and noticed breaking topic starter language afterwards, sorry!
