I thought I only paid 7.99 per month if I wanted the premium account. It says on my account I am on free trial period?
Free premium trial period?

Hi Gareth π
What cool that you are using Premium! All new users will get the first month of Premium risk and cost free! This way you can get a taste of the cool Premium features without any cost! π. After this free period you van either go back to Free of stay on Premium (which I recommend)
Have a nice day and enjoy your free Premium trial! π
If I drop down to regular, does my bunq card still work?

@Gareth-Olive-Turtle#28409 Unfortunately your cards will get disabled if you go back to Free because cards are only available for Premium and Business users. If you go back to Free and later on back to Premium again, you can enable your cards again.
So what is the point of a free account if I canβt use the debit card?

@Gareth-Olive-Turtle#28413 Have an online bank account, with dutch IBAN, pay with iDeal at a lot of (every Dutch) online shops. Transfer money in the SEPA area (Instant payments supported). Request money with Requests and bunq.me and more..ππ
I can do all that with Abn Amro and also have a debit card π€

@Gareth-Olive-Turtle#28416 bunq differentiates itself with other things then just pricing. It's a different business model compared to the "big bad traditional banks". It has to do with value for money, no (bad) investments and ethical banking. Of course this is different per person.π
Which is good but I also think they should have a cheaper monthly fee for just one debit card

@Gareth-Olive-Turtle#28422 Thats a different discussionπ. They are currently happy with their pricing plans so don't expect anything to fast in that case.
Have a nice day for now. ππ

Concerning the trial period: the app should clearly display that a trial period for bunq Premium is started/active. Otherwise people could get the impression that bunq would "slip in" the subscription to users, which would not be the best start to a trust relationship to a bank.

@Roeshimi#28731 I agree, this should be one of their priorities now seeing all the activity on Together. π

@Roeshimi#28731 That is exactly what I thought so I cancelled my premium account while it was free :(

@JeroenE#28801 @Tim Yes, this really hurts bunq's reputation if you start your relationship to them with a "hidden" subscription.
I agree..it was a shock to me too. But I was able to find that the first month was free, so I will keep it till then
Maybe stay on for a month more...Just think it's a bit price tho for the use of the cards

@Gallus-Silver-Llama#28822 Of course there is a lot more then just the cards, and in my opinion it's more than worth the money. bunq premium is the way to go but no transparency is the kind of thing why people move over to bunq from their old banks. It is a dangerously painful subject like this.
