3 days ago I issued a SEPA payment to my bunq account and still hasn’t gone through I’ve checked if I transferred it to the right account but I still don’t have it even though it says it should arrive in 1-2 business days
My SEPA payment hasn’t gone through after 3 days

@RobertoZ#191845 Well today is Sunday, so if you have sent something on Thursday then 2 business days is until tomorrow. Saturdays sadly don't count at banks.

@RobertoZ#191845 so you transferred on Wednesday and didn’t received it on Friday (2-3 working days)?
@Jakob-Y#191856 I was confused because I’ve never had it take that long

@RobertoZ#191872 Always depends on the bank. From some banks you can send in a few hours to bunq (if on a business day and you're not doing the transfers late in the day), and other banks take their time. For example one German bank where I have an account will always processes once per day at around 4pm and then sends these payments out on the next business day in the morning. This leads to the following:
If I send a payment at 3pm on a Wednesday, it will arrive on Thursday morning.
If I send a payment at 5pm on a Wednesday, it will arrive on Friday morning.
But of course then also:
- If I send a payment at 5pm on a Thursday, it will arrive on Monday morning. (Because it only gets processed on Friday afternoon and will only be sent on the next business day, which is the following Monday.)
All of this is still completely within the SEPA regulations, because they only say that you have to process all your payments once per day (but the bank can still choose the time during the day when they do that) and that after processing it can only take at most 1 business day for the transfer to be sent. Especially on weeks with holidays like Easter Monday, this can lead to transactions that have been sent out on a Thursday to only arrive on the next Tuesday.
By the way bunq always processes and sends out transactions as soon as possible. Of course they're still bound by the processing cycles: https://www.ebaclearing.eu/services/step2-sct/settlement-and-processing-cycles/ There are 5 processing cycles per day with the earliest at 6:15am and the latest at 4:15pm. Transactions after that last cycle have to wait until the next day to get sent out.
But bunq also supports incoming and outgoing Instant Payments (SCT Inst), so if the other banks supports that, you can make bank transfers in mere seconds 24/7 even on weekends and holidays.
