I had a savings goal setup for the down payment on a house. Now that I’ve bought the house, I’d like to convert the savings goal to a normal account seeing as the bank has the IBAN of the account for mortgage payments.

@Vincent-9870#192495 Hi 👋🏼 Vincent,
Congrats with your new home!
Unfortunately you cant convert a Savings Goal to a regular account. But also a Savings Goal is technically a full fletch bank account. The difference between a regular account and a Savings Goals is the way it shows up in you app with that cool progress bar for instance.
But I can understand dat a Savings Goals isn't ideal as an account to pay the mortgage (although you can technically use it that way).
Hope this clears things up.
PS: are you gonna invite all bunq users for a house warming party?
@JohnDo#192501 Hi John,
Thanks for your reply. Is there some way support could switch the account types for me? I’d prefer the normal account overview and expect its easier to communicate with Bunq support than my mortgage bank’s support :)
@Vincent-9870#192502 It cannot be converted. But you can still use it to pay normally, as all Savings Goals are also regular accounts. It supports direct debits, standing orders, scheduled payments, and regular payments just like the "normal" account. It will however always show up as a Saving Goal in the app. If you don't like that, you would need to create a new sub-account and transfer the money over.
@Vincent-9870#192502 I dont know :(..... but cant hurt if you ask support: Goto [Profile] > ⚡️button > [Support Center] or send an email to support@bunq.com
I'm running into exactly the same problem right now! To me it seems like a nice new option if a sub-account can change unlimited between saving and normal :)
@TimWijnen#251304 +1 for this feature, if it’s just a display option behind, it could be nice to add/remove from Mass Interest by converting the account!
