Hi everyone π
TLDR: please follow the guidelines in the sheet, they are there for a reason, it allows me to add the icons as fast as possible. π
I'm the developer that currently checks the spreadsheet every once in a while and I wanted to mention a few things.
First, really awesome to read the comments! π
Then, about the sheet: there are a set of guidelines when adding suggestions to sheet, those are there for a reason: I prefer to accept all suggestions, but when information is incomplete/missing/poor quality it takes me a lot of time to add all icons.
When everything is there it can be as fast as 2 minutes, but when information is missing or the images are of bad quality it can take me easily 15-30 minutes.
So why do I need all this info for a simple icon?
- For card payments (online/offline/NFC/...): we link the transaction description. Within the app you can tap a transaction to view this description. It looks something like "Apple Store AMSTERDAM, NL", it always ends with a country code, which is very important to copy in the sheet. When the description is not 1-on-1 it can happing that the linking fails. π
- For SCT (regular transfer) / Direct Debit: we link on an IBAN basis, so that's why I need exact IBANs and not something like IBAN ranges etc.
- It is not possible to add icons for iDeal payments, we need to show the iDeal icon there.
- Why am I nagging about SVG the entire time: because it offers the best quality icons, and the design team needs to approve my work: poor quality images do not get into the app/backend (it does not look nice). π
Please note that adding these icons happens mainly outside of regular working hours (for multiple people), we can not make any guarantee regarding the time needed to add the icons.
Of course, this solution is temporary and not scalable in the long run, but as long as there's no long-term solution let's see what we can achieve Together. π
I'm very much looking forward to see all your suggestions in the sheet! π€
Cheers! π
