  • Cash deposits with Paysafecash

@Wolfgang-Maroon-Badger#228583 Not in The Netherlands unfortunately. Looks like the information on the Paysafe website isn't correct.

Jakob changed the title to Cash deposits with Paysafecash.

Another try today (Amsterdam). Shop reported with service active for deposit on Paysafecash App and again blank faces… no one knew what needed to be done and told me the information from the App is wrong…. Amazing… bunq is based out of Amsterdam and looks like in their own home town they can not get their acts together about this terrible process.

@Gianguido#235916 Oh man, I've visited whole of store in Amsterdam with the logo on map, but the answer is same like you 😪

@New-Teal-Bat-1577105346#235943 Kind of feel better… looks like no one found a place where to use Paysafecash… it is so shameful and even worse that bunq is not apparently taking any action or communicate what is going on. I open a service request asking the complete list of all shops which for sure execute these operations in The Netherlands. First time ever that a bank is making so hard to deposit money. Maybe they should suggest to get a free N26 account and use their systems to deposit cash and the. Transfer bank to bank

Does N26 have any partner in The Netherlands for cash deposits? I thought they just partnered with Barzahlen/viacash, so it'd only work in Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain and Greece.

@Jakob-Y#235968 Do not know. Just mentioned N26 as it is a known competitor … probably they have the same issue and will be asking their users to beg friends and family with traditional bank accounts to deposit and transfer 😷

                        3. Geld storten met Viacash in Duitsland, Oostenrijk of Italië

I went to the place in Utrecht that uses PaySafeCash (Wittevrouwenstraat 8, 3512 CT Utrecht), but they charge an additional €4.50 convenience fee for the first €100 and then 4.5% for every euro over 100. This is allowed by PaySafeCash and when I asked Bunq support they confirmed it is allowed.

What a total ripoff. That means if you need to deposit €1000 you will pay to Bunq (1000-100)2.5% = €22.50 and then pay to the PaySafeCash operator 10004.5% = €45, for a total of €67.50.
ABN Amro, ING and Rabo would charge 1000*0.5% = €5 for the same amount.

The fact that Bunq don't mention any possibility of convenience fees in their blog post on the fee structure just rubs salt in the wound.

@New-Lime-Falcon-3319294080#272271 Wow. And I thought Viacash in Germany is expensive, but like this it makes really zero sense to use. (Even with Viacash bunq is however quite expensive, they take 2.5% while other banks supporting it normally only take around 1.5%)
