  • Include Ideal payment in Travel Card

Since Bunq it's a Dutch bank, I think the least that Bunq should offer to a free standard account (travel card) is that which makes it Dutch: the Ideal payment. Without that, Bunq is just like all the other international banks. Or if not totally free, than charge maximum 1-2 Euro per month for this service, just like other popular Dutch banks; ING, ABN-AMRO, Rabobank, etc. The premium is much too expensive for a humble user. There should be another plan between free travel card and premium. A standard plan for maybe 1,50 per month with Ideal payment active.

As far as I know, bunq is the only one that offers a credit card. The other banks only offer debit cards.

But to do iDEAL payments, you need a bank account. So when bunq decides you can make iDEAL payments with the Travel Card membership, you also need a bank account, and everything that comes with it.

I only opened Bunq account to have Ideal payment to pay at Dutch online shops which accepts Ideal only payments, and also because of my full time job working hours I cannot be available to book an appointment more than a week in advance (as it usually requires) to open a traditional Dutch bank account, so my only hope was a digital Dutch bank which at the moment is only Bunq. I already have lots of non Dutch bank accounts for any sort of national and international money management, but I only needed Ideal. So, I hope you (Bunq) will consider to include Ideal in future app updates whether in Travel Card or making another low cost plan for Netherlands Ideal shopping. Giving people more possibilities it's the way of the future 😉

@VL-Mystic-Stag#200221 But the Travel Membership is not a full bank account, it's only a (credit) Mastercard with an IBAN attached to it (for top-ups).
For example, direct debits are also not supported.
