Setting up notifications for incoming payments

Would be great to get a notification when money is coming into an account - like salary or a paid invoice. Saves me to check the app every 5 minutes.

This is already possible. Might want to check your app settings under Profile > ⚙️ > Settings and preferences > Notifications and the device settings regarding app rights/restrictions.

Jakob Well, there are notifications for everything but not when money is coming INTO an account. Only for outgoing payments, requests, etc.

Martijn I get these all the time. Salary, payments from friends, all works well for me. I'm also on an iPhone. As Tim said, make sure your notification settings are set up correctly in the bunq app.

Martijn The top option 'payments' is also for incoming payments/transfers.

Tim Hmm. With all the notification and permission settings done right (on my iPhone), I don’t get any notification when money is received.
Just when I use my cards or pay something. Weird.

Do you also get notifications from card payments or only from Apple Pay payments? I'm asking this because Apple Pay notifications may come from the Wallet and not the bunq app. I still suggest checking the app notifications settings on your device under Settings > Notifications > bunq.

I am confused as well by the notification settings.

I do not need to receive notifications on Outgoing Payments because:

either I do them manually (so I’m there witnessing it)
or I set them up to be automatic (so I don’t have to think about it, so I don’t want notifications)

I do like to see if I receive payments because I need to take action on it.

Having 1 notification category called ‘Payments’ that enables bother Outgoing and Incoming payments does not allow that.

Also, when ‘Payments’ notifications are enabled, it looks like Incoming payments do not create notification. This might be a bug.

My suggestion is to split Incoming Payments and Outgoing Payments into separate categories.

Apparently it’s a known issue that developers are (now) aware of. A bug raises by multiple users.

Hopefully will be fixed soon.
