  • Bunq.me + Mollie in Moneybird?

Would there be a reason to offer customers the option to pay through Mollie (e.g. iDeal) or Bunq.me-link?

I read an article how to integrate the bunq.me link in a Moneybird workflow using variables (price and description).

In a way that sounded awesome/interesting. But on the other hand I cannot think of a reason to offer both options to my customers.

I think Mollie offers all options that bunq.me is offering right? (=Sofort, Ideal & debit/credit card).

Or am I missing something here and is there a reason to offer this cool bunq.me-link to my clients more often? :)

@Psycholoog-op-Afstand-Maroon-Panther#201428 When you already use a PSP like Mollie, probably not. Other than bunq.me being cheaper in certain circumstances (but be aware that under the current TOS, you cannot use the debit/credit card payment option of bunq.me for Business purposes, so that's a bit inconvenient).

Of course maybe for some people who are already familiar with bunq or who use it themselves, they might feel more comfortable using a bunq.me page for payment than another party, but that's a bit of a stretch.

Thanks Jakob! So the debit/credit option is not working? But it is displayed when I click my link. How does this work?

@Psycholoog-op-Afstand-Maroon-Panther#201433 It's working, it's just not allowed to be used for Business purposes under the current TOS. Check https://www.bunq.com/terms-business Chapter 19:

Card payments via payment requests and bunq.me are intended for personal use only, please refrain from using this type of payment for business transactions.

Of course, costs might also be an issue for these types of payment, as bunq is no longer cheap in comparison with their 2.5%+20 cent rate. As for all the other payment methods, it's just a fixed 20 cents per payment and still cheaper than Mollie.

But the biggest hindrance in my eyes is that you would have to somehow make sure the customer doesn't pay with credit / debit card, but at the same time you cannot at the moment specify which payment methods you'd like to accept with bunq.me or payment requests. When that point gets rectified somehow, bunq could be a good alternative to other PSPs.
