  • Disable functions of the card to prevent fraud

Add a function on your app for internet purchases autorization or not. Activation or deactivation of your mastercard for internet purchase, instantaneously.

    @Emmanuel-MMA#205169 Could you elaborate on your idea? It seems like this functionality is already built into the app, or I don't exactly understand what you mean.

      bunq already supports 3D secure. You can also freeze your card temporarily. You can also set a limit for your card. Accepting or rejecting incoming card transactions manually is not possible to implement, because transactions have to be accepted within a few seconds.

        @TwitNour#205183 It is on N26 for example. You can activate or deactivate the purchases on internet into the card menu in their app. I dont think that it is existing here. Here you can freeze or change the csc. But impossible to forbid the internet use in keeping the card available for the daily life and real shops. A problem for me today, I lost 70€ because of that and fighting for try to receive a refunding. N26 definitively better for internet usage.

          @Emmanuel-MMA#205188 Warum nicht eine Online-Karte, die ausschließlich für Interneteinkauf verwendet wird? Einfrieren wenn ich sie nicht brauche. Auftauen kurz vor dem bezahlen. Limit entsprechend anpassen. Leichter gehts doch eigentlich nicht. Unf fürs tägliche Leben gibts genug Karten bei Bunq.

            @Emmanuel-MMA#205188 I would also recommend using an online card and freezing it when not needed, because that gives you real control. Your idea sounds good, but in reality it's not always possible for a bank to distinguish between online and POS transactions. Many online stores simulate card present transactions to achieve lower transactions fees, so blocking only online transactions would not give you the security benefits that you actually want to achieve.

            All these features did exist at bunq some years ago btw, but were reworked to the current system to not give users a false sense of security. It also confused many users who blocked transactions accidentally, leading to many support requests, which is why a more robust system was introduced (namely the online cards).
