  • Google Pay in The Netherlands

Weet niet of het de kortste weg is maar: op je telefoon, instellingen, Google, accountservices, Google pay

    I don't seem to have the option to add them to my power menu. Anybody else seem to have this issue? Or does anybody know how to enable this?

      @Davey-Azure-Cheetah#206301 Search in the settings for Payment default and set to Google Pay. After that just unlock your phone and tap the payment terminal.

        Helaas bij Galaxy S20 idd nog geen manier gevonden om hem aan de power button te krijgen, of een shortcut op het home scherm.

          @Marco#206302 Thanks Marco, I already had this enabled. I still however cannot find the cards in my Power Menu which is a new feature of Android 11

            @Marco#206302 Maar dan kan je alleen je standaard pas gebruiken, ik wil graag vóór het betalen een bepaalde pas selecteren, via het liefst één handeling (power button, shortcut op home scherm etc.)

              In de praktijk wissel ik bijna nooit via Google Pay, maar wissel ik de Google Pay kaart in de bunq app naar een andere rekening.

                @Davey-Azure-Cheetah#206301 Maybe this isn't available in Android 11 anymore: "The thing is that Google had kept the option for using your cards from Google Wallet or any other in the power menu for the Android 11 beta 1. But in the stable update of Android 11 they have had it removed."

                  Ik heb hem werkend in mijn Galaxy S20, maar mijn Fossil Smartwatch (met NFC) is de Google Pay app niet te gebruiken. Wellicht iemand anders al wel werkend op de smartwatch?

                    I just tried it out, I have several cards added but I can't select which one I want to use.
                    The card that was selected and linked to the correct bank account did not work in Google pay so I had to pay with a physical card.

                      @Eelco-Turquoise-Panda#206323 Dat wil ik ook graag weten. Ik denk dat dit pas werkt als Google de pay app in de App store zet. Helaas nog steeds wachten voor het fossil horloge :-(

                          After linking a card to Google Pay I was actually able to download the Google Pay app from the Playstore despite the "not available in your region" thingy

                            Edit: seems to be gone already. Was definitely able to change preferred card within a Google app though

                              You can change your preferred/default card via the Android settings -> Google -> Account services -> Google Pay

                                @Polderdijk#206305 middels de Google Pay app kan je eenvoudig schortcuts op je scherm zetten voor het kiezen van een pas:

                                    Ware het niet dat Google (voorlopig) de Google Pay app niet vrijgeeft voor Nederland :-(

                                      Weet iemand wat het voordeel is ten opzichte van de Tap&Pay optie van de bunq app zelf? Voor beiden geldt dat hij het 'tikken en betalen' optie op je Android phone gebruikt. Allebei moet je je scherm aanzetten om te kunnen betalen. Zover ik nu zie, verschillen enkel de animaties die afspelen tijdens het betalen. Weet iemand zo wat het verschil is?
