• Bug: Default account for bunq.me payments

While the default account for regular iDeal payments can be selected by rearranging the accounts, for bunq.me payments it seems to default to an entirely different account.

Any reason why this is happening and how I can change this? (note, the default account for bunq.me is also not the 'oldest' account I have, so that cannot be it)



    If you click on your account picture in the app, you see your bunq.me link. Click on it and you can choose what account is used for bunq.me

      But your question was not about incoming but about outgoing payments. I tested it as well and bunq.me doesn’t use my main account as well.

        Just tested and have the same thing.
        It chooses a specific account for me called something like 'Monthy Expenses', which is not intended for bunq.me payments☺️.

        It is also not my:
        - Highest sorted account
        - Oldest account
        - Most recently used account

        I hope someone from bunq can tell us some more about this. 🤔

          Well guys, think I have found the answer.
          The default payment account for (my) bunq.me payments is...🥁🥁🥁

          ... the ‘Billing Account’ for the bunq membership.

                  @Edwin-Red-Lion#31734 Just asked support, it’s either the billing account or the most recently used. Still sounds a bit odd to me. A different (consistent) ruling would make more sense to me to be honest. Lets await some comment from a dev. ☺️

                    @Tim#31736 That's it, though with a twist: it's the last account from which I sent a 'normal' payment (as in not using bunq.me). If I send a bunq.me payment from a different account, the next time it still defaults to the wrong one.

                    I would call this a bug.... In my opinion it should use the top account, just like a normal iDeal payment.

                      @Edwin-Red-Lion#31740 I agree, I don't want it to be my 'Billing Account' (iOS) but the highest sorted/iDEAL account.

                      That's maybe the difference btw;
                      iOS > Billing Account
                      Android > Most Recent
