• Apple Pay for shared/connected account without ordering a card?

Dear all!
Is it possible to add a shared/connected account to apple pay without ordering an extra physical maestro card?
If so, what is the best solutions for most Dutch citizens like me that only use meastro cards normally?

Thanks in advance!

    @Floris-Cyan-Zebra#210484 You can always change the connected account of the Maestro card that you already own. If you want to have two different Maestro cards (regardless of them being used as plastic cards or through Apple Pay), you would need to order another one of them. There's no difference if the account you want to connect a card two is being shared or not. Cards are always personal, not shared, but they can be connected to accounts that are shared. Hope that clears it up.

    Of course, if you only visit shops that also take Mastercard, then you could use an online / virtual card and use that with Apple Pay to also pay in physical stores. But I think in the Netherlands, there are still many shops that only accept Maestro.

      @Jakob-Y#210485 Thank you!

      If I am correct I could also order 1 extra maestro card, and connect it to the shared account, and than manually add that card to my girlfriends apple pay? To save the plastic and postage for 1 card? Am I right?

        @Floris-Cyan-Zebra#210486 As easyMoney/easyGreen member you can order as many physical cards of your choosing as you want (with extra costs if you have more than 3 active cards at the same time), and you can have a certain number of online cards, but these are all Mastercards. As the +1 of another bunq user, you can only have one physical card maximum, and no online cards.

        If you girlfriend is your +1, she only has access to the Joint account that you both share, and won't be able to have any personal accounts. So there shouldn't be any issues with your girlfriend just using her allotted 1 physical card and ordering a Maestro card, except in case she also needs a Mastercard (for example for traveling). In that case, you can indeed put any of your cards into her iPhone/Watch's Wallet app, and that would also work fine.

        However, as I mentioned above, bunq cards are always personal. There are several stipulations in the terms that don't allow you giving away any of your cards to other people, be that in physical form or by putting it on their phone. (To be exact: Chapter 36 of the terms of service, and chapter 11 of the card rules.) So at least I would keep that in mind.

          Thanks again. I understand now. Just for other people that might find this post: She has a easyMoney membership as well. We just do not want to order physical cards we’ll almost never use. But it seems like the most convenient option in the end to oder the extra card, to enable and extra apple pay option.

          For the more techy people using iOS: you can also use one card, and quickly switch the connected account with a “shortcut”(dutch “opdrachten”)
