With a Mastercard, you can take a look at the "Card Number" written on the back and then compare it to the card number that is shown in the app to make sure you're looking at the right card. (The "Valid thru" date should also be the same.) The Maestro cards don't have their card number printed on them, only an IBAN. You can compare the Valid thru date and the Card description.
Maybe you accidentally ordered a replacement of a card instead of a new card. In this case, the old plastic card will just be invalid but you won't see a new card in your cards section.
