Can I only share an account with other Bunq users?
@Menno-Golden-Kiwi#214258 If someone is already on the easyMoney plan, you can easily add them to your own sub-accounts via Connect or create new Joint accounts with them. But if they're not a bunq user and don't plan on becoming one, you can also use bunq +1 to either add them to an existing sub-account via Connect or create a new Joint account together with them. This is not free, you'd have to pay 2,99 Euro/month for each user that you add as your +1, but the other user doesn't have to get any special plan. They of course still have to download the app and enter their details.
Make sure you check out the relevant Knowledge topics and the Pricing Sheet so that you know exactly how the feature works if you plan to use it. Your +1 can even get their own bunq card and one free ATM withdrawal each month. However, while they are your +1, they won't be able to open up any sub-accounts of their own.
Hey Jakob, when I click on the provided link to bunq +1 to says 'page not found' -- is that feature not available anymore?
@MILE#240133 is that feature not available anymore?
Indeed the +1 plans are not a thing anymore. Feature-wise though nothing really has changed. Joint accounts and the Connect feature were a thing before +1 got introduced and they still exist after +1 got removed.

If there are any open questions, feel free to ask :)
@Jakob-Y#240136 When I try Together the recipient of the link has no other option than to open a Bunq account, or start a trial, which after 30 days will become a full account and also cost them money. That's a whole other story than what it says here... Is there something we're missing?
@Hieronymus-Pink-Akita#279308 You can only share accounts with other bunq users. So yes, if you want to share accounts with others, you both need paid bunq accounts.

Keep in mind that some information in this thread is concerning bunq +1, an old product that hasn't been offered for some years. Read the official help topics from bunq for up-to-date information. User generated content on this forum might sometimes get outdated.
In any case, everyone using bunq always has to have their own bunq account. This was always necessary, not just because of product design, but because it's important for a bank to know about everyone of their clients and make sure to verify their identity.
