  • Why is bunq no longer realtime for transactions?

Realtime must be up to date

    What is not realtime for you? In principle bunq does everything in realtime whenever it's possible to do so. For payments between different banks bunq is still dependent on the legacy system between banks unfortunately. However, you can use requests to get (or send) your money instantly.

        @Sander#33400 I missed that. How can I use requests to send money instantly (and let the other bank receive my money instantly)?

          It still depends on the bank of the receiver. If you send a payment by ex. SMS, bunq still has to pay to the other bank which depends on the legacy systems between banks.

            @GV#33422 When your bank supports sending iDeal requests you can get the money instantly from bunq to that bank. Outside The Netherlands your bank needs to support "Instant Payments". Towards bunq you can send money instantly by sending a request from the bunq app, this can be paid using iDeal or Sofort. 🙂

              Don’t forget that real-time transfers work between bunq and ABN already 👍🏻
