  • Card Declined online payments

Hello, every time I try to make an online payment to any online shop which is powered by Shopify or uses ShopPay I get the same error: "Card was declined". And no payment entry shows up on the app. This happened countless times over the past year. I have already opened many tickets on the support and they always tell me the same.: "It's a problem on the merchants' side". I'm sure the input card data is correct, I'm sure I have funds and I know also that the card is enabled. Card is enabled to be used worldwide. Doesn't matter if it's a physical card or virtual card. Always the same problem, in many different online stores.

So now I want to hear from the community. Is anybody with the same problem? How to solve this?

    @Victor-Green-Falcon#216553 Hi Victor, zelf heb ik dit probleem nog nooit gehad. Het enige wat ik je niet zie vermelden zijn of je je kaartlimieten hebt gecontroleerd. Hopelijk kom je er snel uit.

              Soort van zelfde probleem, maar dan in de winkel. Meestal wordt mijn kaart geaccepteerd, maar soms om onduidelijke reden niet. De winkel (Odin) verwijst naar bank. Voorlopig betaal ik dus contant…

                @New-Violet-Akita-1606180616#241698 In the Netherlands, many shops only accept Maestro cards, and do not accept Mastercard. What type of card did you get from bunq? (At bunq you can choose by yourself.)

                If you're not sure what type of card you have, look at the logo printed on the front. The Mastercard logo has different colors (red-orange) than the Maestro logo (red-blue). You can see both of them on this website: https://brand.mastercard.com/brandcenter/artwork.html

                If you use a Maestro card (with red-blue logo) then it should also work at Odin.
