  • Whoops! We couldn't verify that you are a real human.

When people want to pay my request via iDeal, they get this notification: "Whoops! We couldn't verify that you are a real human. Please enable browser tracking and try again.". Tried it with several phones and computers. What can I do?

HI @gr00t#220230! To keep you and your money safe, we've recently implemented some security improvements in bunq.me. One of these improvements is the addition of Google reCAPTCHA, which verifies that you are a real human and not a robot or a scammer. If you see this message, it means we could not successfully verify that.

We realise that this isn't ideal in every situation, which is why we're currently improving the way this works by allowing you to do one of those puzzles (you know the ones, where you have to click cars or phone booths), instead of simply blocking you from paying at all. We're rolling this out as soon as possible, and when we do, we'll be sure to let you know here!

@sailingdeveloper#220239 This kinda sucks, as right now very regular people (meaning: with just plain old Android phones, without specific security features or stuff) cannot compete my payment requests.

@sailingdeveloper#220239 Ernsthaft? reCaptcha? Hat bunq alle fähigen Programmierer entlassen, dass man auf Google Crash zurückgreifen muss?
reCaptcha in irgendeiner Form um sich zu legitimieren, wäre ein Grund, bunq künftig nicht mehr zu nutzen. No Google!

@sailingdeveloper#220239 Would be nice if https://www.hcaptcha.com/ could be considered as a privacy friendly alternative. It has "No-CAPTCHA" & 99.9% passive modes in the enterprise version :)

Eine weitere schlecht umgesetzte und nicht angekündigte "Verbesserung" von bunq. Wo führt das nur hin.

Thanks for bearing with us guys, we've now implemented a different version of Google reCAPTCHA which lets you do a puzzle if we can't verify you right away.

Have a good weekend, and a lovely kings day! 🤴

+1 for hCaptcha. Always had a better experience with their puzzles and privacy-wise they‘re just far superior.
