Open an account through API

Is it possible to open an account through the API?
I want to make it possible to open accounts for new customers so that they can make use of sharing monetary accounts together with a payment app that we are developing at the moment.

Ramon Klanke You can open new monetary accounts / sub-account through the API, sure. Just POST to the respective endpoint for the type of account you want to create: https://doc.bunq.com/

Jakob thank you for the quick reply. I was actually looking for an "open" part of the API where you can create a new customer Bank Account.

Ramon Klanke You mean as in new bunq user account? No, that's not possible. I don't think planned either, because I don't think anyone is supposed to open bunq accounts in the name of someone else. But after someone has created a bunq account, connecting to your app via OAuth is as easy as scanning a QR code with their phone and clicking on accept. And then you can create the shared sub-account.
