Hi Bunq,
It's great you're a forward-looking bank.
At some point, merchants will have to comply with EU PSD2 laws.
But right now, Netflix payments are failing, and today Sixt blocked my account. I almost didn't get the rental car in the first place as staff had been instructed not to accept any Bunq cards.
Right or wrong, the fact of the matter is, I'm now forced to use my old ING credit card because my new one isn't accepted. Sixt would care if all ING customers couldn't buy from them but I'm not sure they care about the friendly group of Bunq-ers. I'm worried more companies will start rejecting my credit card until they support 3d secure.
Perhaps Bunq was a little too early with complying and like ING can wait a little longer? Perhaps it's possible to disable 3d secure for certain merchants or specific payments with the app? I'd almost closed my old account and would hate to be forced back into using it for more things.
Thanks!
