  • Maestro in Belgium ?

So does Maestro work in Belgium in all shops where Bancontact is accepted ?

    That depends on the contract the merchant has.

    Belgium, just like Germany has still its own payment scheme. In Germany it's Girocard (previous name: EC Karte) and in Belgium it's Bancontact).

    So it's possible that a Maestrocard is not accepted.

      @Ciprian-Cyan-Llama#35490 Sadly, many places like Okay only accept Bancontact and not Maestro. Some other places, like Delhaize, you have to ask for a payment by credit card before being able to use your Maestro card.
