In attempting to use my Bunq cards with a local online supermarket, I have encountered an issue; Bunq's cards are always rejected.
This supermarket's mechanism is to make a trial charge of €0.01 against the card, but ensure that CV2 and Address are validated, before they schedule a delivery (the full charge is made at delivery time). According to the merchant:
- while the transaction is authorised (approved in the app), it indicates an AVS/CV2 check status of "not checked"
- this means that the CV2 and/or customer address was not validated by the issuing bank
- this is in conflict with this merchant's fraud prevention rules
Is there any way to have Bunq's card authorisation workflow ensure that customer address and CV2 are validated for the merchant?
The supermarket in question is SuperValu; website www.supervalu.ie.
Any ideas?
