I just got a call from my girlfriend. She was phished by someone calling her and saying that he is from bunq and they need to verify her account. Apparently she was not thinking straight and went with it. Now my savings on the shared account are gone and she can't log in on her account and her savings are also gone. How do we proceed? Bunq will only answer in 16 hours.

I tried. No one can be reached. The number can only freeze accounts it recognized the phone number of. Apparently the scammers changed her phone number immediately. So you can't even freeze the account this way.

Besides that that if it happened like that is no way to handle emergency situations from bunq' s side, but how did they get her number in the first place to be able to adress her?
They were spoofing the bunq number. So she was getting messages from the bunq number and then also got called by someone pretending to be bunq helpdesk. Which is of course kind of funny, because bunq is so unreachable via phone...
I am also surprised that the cool-off period was not activated. How is it possible that no red fraud flags went off when someone logged in with a new device upped the transfer limited to the maximum and started transferring money away like crazy to one account? That is fraud detection 101.

By the way, did you manage to speak to bunq yet?
I managed to speak to them, but i am not sure if I will get any coulantie from their side. So far my girlfriends account is blocked. Also the money was transfered within minutes, not after an hour.
