That isn't the case. A bank transfer from any bank (including bunq) always sends along your name and your account number / IBAN. While the Dutch IBANs from bunq indeed include the bank code "BUNQ" in them, the sender's name will also be passed along.

In the bunq app under Profile tab > Settings (top right) > Personal Information > Official Name you can choose between different versions of your name, for example including your middle name / second first name, abbreviate your last name or not, but you don't have the option to not pass along your name.

Edit: What is probably the case for you is that your account is very new and you haven't verified your identity yet. You should definitely do that to use bunq's features fully. Without a verified identity, bunq has no idea if your name is actually the name that you input so they cannot use it for payments.
