Hi,

It’s the second time in a row I get charged twice in a physical store paying with Apple Pay. The first transaction get refused for “time out of the issuer” then the second one works correctly but after some time I get charged also for the first transaction as a “card payment” and not Apple Pay.

Is anyone experiencing the same issue? Any idea?

    @marcozima#236508 Today there were apparently issues with card payments for a few users in the afternoon. Check your statement if in doubt about refund status, as these should have been corrected automatically by now. If you have been charged multiple times erroneously you can request a refund through the app for the unsuccessful payment attempt.

      @Jakob-Y#236517 Thank you, I requested a refund but the first time it was denied… only 14€ so not a big deal, but now it happened again with over 90€…

                Same here,125 euro’s gone that I really can’t miss! En bunq isn’t responding to anything :(

                    @Laura-Violet-Quokka#236870 I’ve received a first refund on a small payment asking for it. Still waiting on the second payment. Have you tried to ask a refund?

                      Ik kreeg deze namiddag twee terug betalingen. Na 1 week dus toch alles ok.

                        Received also the second refund as well. I don’t know what the issue was but for now it’s solved and it hasn’t happened again

                          Bunq just charged me 227 euros TWICE and it’s not the first time they do it with accomodation services and airlines!!! They tell me they had nothing to do with it!!! I’m closing this account because this is not the first time it happens. They answered me right away, they didn’t even check the proof I had attached in my claim. THE WORST

                            @New-Maroon-Lynx-578051018#275512 It's probably an authorization and then another actual charge made separately by the merchant (airline, hotel etc.) -- this can sometimes happen depending on how the merchant has set up their payment system. Really it's nothing to do with bunq, the same thing will happen if you use any other bank's card. But of course, if you use a credit card with a credit line that you only have to pay after you get your monthly statement, by that time the authorization charge is already vanished so it wouldn't affect you then. It would however affect your remaining available credit line even in that case, for roughly the same amount of time that it takes at bunq for that first charge to get reversed. Bottom line is that you'll get your money back of course, but due to how credit card networks are set up, at least momentarily a bigger amount of money may get blocked and is unavailable to you. It's not really any hassle if you have enough money on your account anyway, but I see why it could be irritating or rather unusable in case you only leave the minimum amount necessary on the account. Pretty sure if bunq could do something about this they would, after all it affects customer satisfaction, and even the big networks like Mastercard and Visa would probably like to modernize themselves, but it's not exactly trivially done if you operate in almost all countries worldwide and have to make sure that everything remains compatible so people can still pay internationally.

                              Hi all! I bought in best buy the tablet.
                              And bunq charged me twice.
                              Even more at the beginning they were saying that they allow merchant to use declined and expired payment attempt. Without my authorization it's confused me.
                              I find myself in problematic situations for the whole.day in the middle.of nowhere with blocked card and -300 euro.
                              And bunq didn't care at all.
                              I can't even call them, I had sos last month but by phone they saying that I am already used my "ability" to call them. Because of the bunq which guided me to block my card because that was looking like a stealing. I found myself with.blocked card and they even saying that I have to put money to became.positive and then can open new one to attach to google play at least.
                              Definitely their team are non professional because their explanation doesn't make any sense.
                              Merchant in details provided me information how transactions and when happened and it was one.
                              Bunq keep copy pasting the text from beginning that they need confirmation from merchant that they would claim money from transaction, but transaction is one and it's for purchase. Support doesn't react, I pissed off so much by fact that they don't care at all and they like in anti utopia don't event provide opportunitie to call. In chat they just want formally reply to have formal "answered" even the link of explanation, which doesn't make any sense I never asked about how their chat encrypted, was empty and not working link. So seems to be it's a values of company to put zero effort at everything they do.
                              They don't event read respond of merchant just copy paste. I am going to visit lawyer, Because their attitude make me feel to put real efforts to find a justice in this situation. Do you guys have experience with legal interactions with bunq?

                                @New-Scarlet-Dingo-2512590601#284230 It makes sense to first add money to your account if you have a negative balance, since having a negative balance isn't allowed at bunq.

                                Are you sure you are charged twice? Or are two reservations placed on your Mastercard credit?

                                By the way, you could have known from the beginning that bunq doesn't have phone support. All the contact with bunq goes through the in-app chat or via email.

                                  Bestbuy have own regulations of sharing any data bunq have own. And nobody cares.
                                  The only solution provided by bestbuy is to make 3 wall call and case id number to work this out. But bunq refuse to do so. Their answer is link, seems which have to explain me how fantastic is their encryption but it was not working.
