When you open an account you get one DigiCard of type maestro. You can add more DigiCards of MasterCard type. When you through away the maestro DigiCard or turn it into physical card. It is impossible to create a new maestro DigiCard. Is this a bug?
And what is the advantage to use a maestro DigiCard instead of MasterCard DigiCard?

René Maestro ist in den Niederlanden und Belgien die am meisten akzeptierte Karte. Im übrigen Europa gibt es nur wenige Händler die diese akzeptieren. Dort wird Mastercard akzeptiert, ebenso in Übersee.
Also wenn Sie nicht in den Niederlanden/ Belgien wohnen dann Mastercard.

I asked support to implement DigiCard maestro, but they told me it is only possible for MasterCard.

The DigiCard maestro is the default one when I opened the account. The other cards I’ve created. I can’t create a new additional DigiCard maestro. So when I delete that one and can’t create a new one. This happens to me in another account.

Thank you René. So if I understand correct this is with a complete new account? When you just open a new sub account you won’t get a meastro DigiCard?

Maurits I’ve a private account and added two business accounts. Both have the DigiCard maestro as default.

To answer your question. As Bernd already posted, MasterCard is better accepted outside the Netherlands and Belgium. With a DigiCard MasterCard you can make online purchases.

The reason I would like to have a DigiCard maestro, is to have an extra card I can add to my Apple wallet. So I can make a payment from a different sub account without switching my card between accounts.

Maurits For me it is not possible to add any DigiCard to Apple Pay wallet.

René For me it is not possible as well. This is since the update to version 19. also unfortunately I can’t change colors of the cards anymore …

André Meine Digicard mastercard habe ich manuell zu Apple Pay hinzugeführt. Die Farbe lässt sich tatsächlich nicht ändern.

Bernd (DE - Hamburg)🇩🇪 Finde das sehr schade. Die Farben waren sinnvoll. Manuell hinzufügen geht, ist aber umständlich. Bitte Bunq, führt die Funktionen wieder ein.
