  • Idea: Make it more clear that Together is a public forum

I see a lot of posts on Together that needs to be directed to the Private Matters support chat, which most people btw. are not able to find on their own. Instead they post their questions on Together thinking they are contacting bunq. And sometimes these posts contains very personal information.

I think the following should be made much more clear, when posting a new question on Together:

  • Make it clear that you are posting to a PUBLIC forum
  • Make it clear that this forum is community driven
  • Make it clear that bunq might not even read your post, much less likely reply to it
  • Make it clear that NO PERSONAL information should be posted
  • Add a link to Private Matters, in case the poster actually meant to contact bunq

    @Dennis#38153 Agreed. I would suggest to consider renaming “Private Matters” in “Private Support” and move it to the same page as Together.

    The together button in the menu bar could be renamed to “support” (and would lead to the current page that now allows public and private support).

      I second this, as a community moderator I see this a lot. Even more so because most of the topics are closed as soon as we let them know where the support chat is located. 💬

      I don’t mind helping those people, but it’s also a better experience for them when it’s more clear when they are talking to actual support staff or are posting here on the community forums. 🌈

        I gotta agree with you! I also noticed that it isn't always clear to people what Together 🌈 is. And sometimes people still wonder were to find Private Matters. I agree with the solution 💡@Arjan#38155 proposed.

        I think this idea can still make it on time to be launched on Update9 ;))

          @Dennis#38153 Also make together more forum like. With subjects to choose from. Now all topics are published in a list and there is no option to filter. Which causes duplicate posts!

          Also as mentioned here before:
          Add private support next to together as a tab. For people to have a better overview of private and public discussions.

            @Peters#63554 Name the forum "help" to make things more clear.

            Then add 2 tabs called; private & public

            Private; the support feature that is now in "your profile".

            Public, the forum with its sublevels (topic) filled with posts according to the topic subject.

            This way "together" would be so much better to use, to organize, and to find information.

              @Peters#63554 Forums used to have boards. Like how SMF 2.1 does it. But in all honesty, this forum sees relatively very few topics each day so it’s not a huge issue. The search function can use an upgrade though.

                I fully agree with you that it would help if you could filter of sort on Together. So we definitely take this idea 💡 into account! Personally I hope some easy way to filter and sort will soon be available! The platform software bunq uses has these options, so it should be technically possible.

                In the meanwhile there are some small tricks you can use on browser version of Together.

                Use tag:<tag> in the search field.
                Example: card tag:ideas
                This will search for anything with "card" 💳 in the idea 💡 section.
