  • organizing home tab is very buggy on Android

I like the ability to create folders and put cards right there in the home tab. however, in its current form it's very difficult to use.

I spent some time organizing everything just the way I like it, but I often ran across the issue that the app is very eager to put things into folders when I try to move them. this then makes me need to take them out again. then, when I do remove them from the folder, they show up under a new tab at the bottom.

Furthermore, any operation with a folder (adding, removing, ordering items inside a folder) will shuffle my home screen layout entirely.

I'm sure this is a known issue but I wasn't able to find any posts about it yet.

TL;DR:

  1. The app is too quick to make folders when dragging items around
  2. whenever anything is added/removed/moved in a folder, my home screen layout shuffles around

I recorded a video but wasn't able to upload it here.

cheers

Agreed, ordering the homescreen is now not that easy (on Android at least).

@Cas#240533 Hey thanks for reporting :) We will look into the bugs (the showing of the extra tab and the reseting of the order). As for the dragging/dropping behaviour this is going to be something which will be tweaked over time. There are a few tips to make that better.

      1. It will show you visually that it will move a tile vs dropping in. So keep looking for that and you should never drop into a folder instead of moving tiles again :)
      2. When you want to move a tile into another spot but it doesn't move you can also give it a bit of a wiggle, it will move for you.

@Cas Both the ghost tab appearing when you remove items from a folder and operations inside of folder messing with your main screen layout have been fixed. It's gonna be available with next week version. We're still figuring how to fine-tune it to make it easier and more natural to drag and drop while keeping the screen sleek and clean. Since you like to organize your stuff maybe you have some tips?

Could be improved by: showing the total amount on the folder containing those particular accounts AND let users choose which amount will be calculated and displayed for a folder (example: I have 4 accounts inside a folder but I wish to have displayed on top of the folder just 3 accounts out of those 4).
