Amazing! Thank you Ali.
It’s a shame bunq is being attacked in this kind of way. Some people really don’t understand how much time and effort (and not to forget money) goes into a project like this. Let’s help bunq, instead of flaming them. We all want the same thing, a great money experience. You are not going to find a group more dedicated to do this than bunq. Give this amazing team the credit and support it deserves, so we can all enjoy the best banking experience in the world.
Keep up the good work 🌈 🙌🏻
@Ali#38221 Keep up the good job!
Hi 👋🏼 @Ali
Thnx for open communication and for the compliment 👍👌.
Also good to read that this update had a big positive impact according to the stats! 👍
I may not always agree with every single thing bunq does, but that’s all in the game. I understand that bunq isn’t making a app just for me 😉. But as long a we all keep a open and positive dialogue is is going to be just fine.
So, keep up the good and hard work. And keep us amazed! #canwaitforupdate9
also thank you @Arjan#38222 ❤️👍🏼
I am looking forward for all the great things that willl come! I am currently moving bit by bit to bunq :).
Those are some nice stats!
Like the others have already posted, the main problem is in the communication. Yes also from customers to bunq; we can be harsh in voicing our opinion. However, that tone is caused by sudden unexpected changes to crucial areas of our workflows. More of a defensive wtf cry rather than a direct attack towards the people at bunq.
Personally I have to live with tight budgets and the routing of recurring payments has become crucial in keeping the money flow in line, without becoming a Scrooge watching every cent. With the automatic routing to my budget accounts I simply cannot spend more than I actually have. When a budget is dry at the recurring tx I become aware that I quickly need to make adjustments. A nice way to prevent debt 💰. Dedicated budgeting apps and the like are too slow for this, because they either require me to keep checking them and the connected ones only process transactions after they happened. Only the bank itself can decline transactions before they happen, and bunq did.
Being a tech company bunq should be familiar with the practice of announcing breaking changes. Either by deprecation notices in the release notes or with semantic versioning, bumping the major version when the interface breaks. That way there is time to make adjustments before going along with the new release. The release notes of the app updates did not announce any feature deprecations in advance, neither did any of bunq‘s posts on Together. It was just forced upon us without a notice, disguised as a big improvement, but seriously breaking money management flows. Even when the stats show it is not as commonly used, there are people using it. A friendly heads up would be extremely appreciated and limit the amount of negative feedback after the release.

I like bunq very much, the service and app are very cool and I can’t imagine myself banking somewhere else anymore. The removal of card whitelisting hurts and is already messing up my system, but I have absolutely no intention to leave bunq (besides the fact that there exists no alternative). I love this company and its journey.
I only kindly request to introduce deprecation notices and bring back whitelisting/routing, if you can. That’s all. 😉
I really appreciate updates like this. Sometimes I get the feeling that bunq is losing touch with the users, because poor communication, removing features seemingly lots of people liked etc. An update like this post from @ali restores some of my faith in bunq.
Hi Ali, thanks for the update! Really like to see some statistics. I like to share some statistics from myself as well: screentime on my iPhone tells me I’ve been using the bunq app more than facebook lately; never had that experience with any bank. Keep up the great work!
Cheers, Jesse
Attacking bunq people personally is a no go.
But I'm pretty sure some people don't mean it as they have written.
I think they just so enthusiastic about bunq that they are sometimes to far in there postings.
You could see that about the number of posts in the Together.
Do you know any other bank that has so many active customers. In most banks such community like in Together doesn't even exist. I don't know any bank.
I personally I appreciate the work you are doing. That you take these attacks personally shows me also that you are really enthusiastic to make bunq better and better every single day. I also like that you are really listening to customers. My main bank in Germany for example changed the web interface some time ago. It looks now more modern. But a lot of functionality is lost. And they were not listening to their customers at all.
But of course it's never possible to make everyone happy. No matter if it's the service bunq provides or if it is the app.
Just continue what you did so far and improve it as I'm pretty sure you do.
Many many thanks everyone for your wonderful replies. And thanks for your patience as we sort out a solution for the money re-routing issue. We have an idea that we believe is going to be awesome but will need a bit of time to implement it...
@Ali#38221 Very good feedback Ali. It's heartwarming to see that bunq uses the feeback (from some constructive, some just plain rude and others unpleasantly surprised) and the -apparently- smaller users of techies at heart!
Love the way bunq is open about this and admitting "mistakes" publicly to their users. It's an improvement on communication, which had been lacking around this particular case. I think this will be a good indicator of improving communication about these kind of changes. I still vote for user-board for testing :)
And at what other bank does the CEO actually participate on the forums and it's users? :D Also it proves again most of the improvements were spot on, according to the stats so hats off to that one!
Pffff, it sounds like improvements but it takes about An hour or more to understand what the improvements are and still I have trouble understanding it.
Hi Ali,
I see the figures thats great.
But why cant it be both?
Like first, you had the option central limits and per card limits. I guess it must not be hard to implement that because the code is already there.
Only a slider ‘on/off’ advanced limits?
Keep up the good work? ❤️
i are a new dictionary word coming.. Bunq-bashers. people who only can bash about changes and complains, but never tell them good job.
my first month on Bunq now and I was surprised about the good work and the information provided about updates and changes.
keep up the good work and ignore the Bunq-bashers

Sry but in my opinion this is not per se bunq bashing. I agree to what Ali said, feedback needs to be constructive but if there are things to criticise, you need to be allowed to state them. I'm really happy with bunq but they removed a feature few? some? users liked and relied on so no wonder they are unhappy if it gets removed without communication. This has nothing to do with bunq-bashing as you call it.

relax people! with bashing I mean the way people react. not if there wrong or not.
there are always people who cannot express them self without swearing.

Hi @Autosleutels-Deventer-B-V#38801 @Sebastian-Turquoise-Penguin @Bear#38799 ,
I really appreciate you all sharing your feedback! Just a reminder to stay on topic, as we're looking trying to keep constructive feedback relevant to the post 🙂👍.
Thanks!
Is there an outlook when we can expect this feature to make its grand reappearance? :)
Any news?
