How to create a Local Currencies account?

To create a Local Currency sub-account you should first make sure you have your telephone number linked to your Personal account. Afterwards, you can follow these steps to open it:

Go to Home tab
Tap on 🟣 + Add
Click on 🟢 Add a Sub-Account
Select 🟠 Bank Account
Personalize your sub-account
Choose Local Currency
Done

To make sure that the Local Currency account will remain active, you need to keep at least one Euro account ✅

❗️ Important: Our Local Currency partners (Currency Cloud) are temporarily pausing their BGN services due to technical difficulties with their provider. Therefore, the processing of BGN payments will be paused for now. What does that mean for you:

- September 26, 2023 will be the last day you'll be able to convert funds and process payments in BGN for now;
- You won't be able to receive funds in BGN;

Go to https://web.bunq.com
Click on + Add sub-account
Select Bank like a local
