  • You can’t log out, if you don’t have a phone number.

When creating a bunq account for my kids, I use my own mobile phone number. This gave some confusions (couldn’t login in my own account anymore), but this was solved by removing my phone number from my kids account.

Now I want to log out on all my accounts, because I want to open another account for another child.
It seems you can only create a new account (through an invite link) if all other accounts are logged out.

Problem is, I can’t log out the first kid, because it has no phone number.

Anybody any ideas on how to logout without having a phonenumber (all accounts have an e-mail)?

      @Jakob-Y#241695 Well, that probably works, I think I have done that before when I had the issue, but I was hoping that there was a more elegant way to logout.

        @New-Maroon-Moose-3242289547#241763 So I remove the app, now I have to authenticate all the accounts with a top-up of € 0,01. But my kids don’t have any other account. So I need to authenticate with a 20 sec video of my son. He’s three years old, I’m not even going to try.

        I have so many issues (and real bugs) with bunq right now, that it’s time to look into other options. Sadly to say, but bunq is forcing me to use the big banks again. The love was strong, now it’s gone, and slowly it turns into hate.

          It's your call of course, but I'm sure it's worth a try to ask bunq support about what to do. Logging out without a phone number indeed requires you to go through a few more hoops to log back in again, that's why the app suggests you to add one in the first place. I can see why a three-year old may not have their own phone number of course, but nowadays it's also quite easy to get multiple (at least personally I have like 5), so there are ways to work around this.
