  • Amount of emails

Just wanted to share that I think that bunq should tweak the amount of e-mails that get send. Here are some examples:

  • I unsubscribe from a marketing email (fine)
  • I receive a confirmation of the unsubscription (which is weird, because I unsubscribe to receive less mail)
  • then a minute later I receive yet another mail that the unsubscribing had been processed (totally not fine)

Another example, this is a recent thing:

  • When registering cards for Apple Pay I receive 2 emails per card that Apple Pay has been requested and has been activated. I’d rather receive no email because Apple Pay had already been confirmed on my phone to work, so I already know.

Plus I’ve already used Apple Pay for these cards for years. I only had to re-register them because I switched phones. So the mails don’t even make sense.

Hope you’ll take a look and tweak the amount of emails. Thanks! :)

@Nicky-Lime-Butterfly#245663 Hello Nick 👋 I know that at times the amount of emails can seem excessive, but we aim for full transparency - we want users to always know what's happening with their accounts. We appreciate the feedback and please keep in mind that it's possible to unsubscribe from emails and push notifications in the app. If you still receive e-mails, after unsubscribing from them, please contact us in the app: Profile > ⚙️ > scroll down > Need help? Get support. Thank you for your understanding 🙏

@Nicky-Lime-Butterfly#245663 I have to agree. The amount of emails is high, too for my tast, especially since some actions in the app, like scanning an invoice also results in several emails per scan.

Of course, transparency and helping users to get the best out the app gets a big thumbs up from me. But, would love it even more if bunq tunes down it a bit, at least when it comes to sending emails.

Maybe, it’s an idea to have an option in the app to see an overview of all the non-financial actions you recently done. This improves transparency and even security and is less intrusive than emails. Tips and tricks on how to use the app are also available in the app, so in my opinion it’s not necessary to send such info on a regular basis through email.

So far my 50 cents 💰 . Still love bunq 🌈 of course
