After 3 weeks of staring at a loading spinner Bunq finally managed to "verify my documents" and... proceeded to open my account with a Dutch IBAN, whereas they explicitly state in their website that they support Irish IBANs. I'm resident and present in Ireland, so how do I correct this? I don't see the option anywhere.
Get Irish IBAN
@New-Olive-Colt-3831572710#248989 Hi!
Follow the steps here to get an Irish IBAN ππ» https://together.bunq.com/d/48561
@bunqVitaly#248990 There's 3 different methods listed there, and impressively none of them work.
- There is nothing listed under "Events" that relates to an Irish IBAN.
- There is no "Get local IBAN" button under "View profile"
- Creating a sub-account requires me to upgrade to the β¬9/m plan, while Irish IBANs supposedly are available on the β¬3/m plan that I'm on.

@New-Olive-Colt-3831572710#248996 Go to the Home page in the bunq app, tap the "More" button in the bottom right corner, tap "Add sub-account" and choose "Local IBAN".
Your account was opened with a Dutch IBAN, because bunq is a Dutch bank.
Your plan, Easy Bank, only includes 1 account. However, if you open an Irish IBAN, it becomes your second account, so you need a more expensive plan (Easy Money, β¬8,99/month).
I think the best option is to contact bunq support, or open the Irish IBAN and then contact bunq support (Profile > Settings > Need help) to ask for a β¬6 refund. Because it's not possible to first close your Dutch sub-account and then open the Irish sub-account.

No that's wrong. Even with the Easy Bank plan, if you're a resident of Ireland, your one and only bank account should get an IE IBAN. That's unrelated to the Local IBAN feature (which allows using IBANs of other countries that you do not reside in). If an Irish resident got an NL IBAN after account creation, that's just not how it's supposed to be. Unfortunately there's no way for the user to rectify this by themselves, that's also why none of the guides linked above work (they're describing steps for different situations). But Support should be able to help here.
@New-Olive-Colt-3831572710 I sent you a message in the app. Please reply there so I can further assist you! π
I have the same problem - have just opened an account. I am an Irish resident with an Irish address and have just been given a Dutch iban. Can I get this updated to an Irish iban please?

@New-Golden-Opossum-2353954991#275382 You can open a new sub-account yourself, and in the set-up process tap "IBAN > Irish".
