Nick I for myself can only recommend everyone to inform himself before opening a bank account, whatever bank you’re considering.
People tend to give here negative feedback, nonetheless they could have informed themselves about every feature and every detail on the website before registration. Also there are differences between feedbacks. Negative Feedback is ok, as long it is in a respectively manner. And it is often not formulated this way, it gets very emotional from time to time around here, even though issues are not always on bunq’s side.
I for myself can for example only say, I chose bunq also for the way it handles Mastercards and actively informed myself before registration.
- It offers Offline PIN, that’s very rare nowadays for a lot of credit cards
- It’s a credit card which doesn’t offer a credit line, just like debit cards. This gives you full control over your finance
- Dual PIN, no other German Bank offers this, at least none I know
