Hi,
Wondering if with Bunq, or any other Dutch bank, is possible for me as an expat residing and working in Netherlands, I can buy a House abroad? We are talking about lower values compared to NL, like 100k€. Thank you.

@Jorge-Bearwolf#252446 Hi Jorge!
Unfortunately, that's not possible with bunq. You should be a tax resident in the Netherlands (meaning that you reside and pay taxes in the Netherlands), and the property you plan to buy also should be in the Netherlands.
@Jorge-Bearwolf#252446 Dutch banks are very cautious about providing a mortgage for a house abroad. Because the pledge is abroad and they have no control over it, they run a big risk. So there are only a few banks in the Netherlands that will give you a mortgage to buy a house abroad. You stand the best chance at a major bank that also has offices abroad. The major banks ING, Rabobank and ABN AMRO also have branches in other countries. Does the bank have a branch in the country where you want to buy a house? Then it is more likely that they will want to provide you with a mortgage abroad.
@thijsoost#252454 Hi,
Thanks for the answer, I am a tax payer in NL and also resident. I believe only ING has agencies in the relevant country.
@Jorge-Bearwolf#252457 Only if the house you're planning on buying is also in the Netherlands, you can use bunq for a mortgage.
Otherwise you should try contacting ING!
