• Transfer USD to EUR account

Hi all,
I've received a payment in the form of USD and that is currently in my USD account on bunq. I'm trying to transfer this to my Main account but it just won't happen. I've tried to pay the Main account with the entirety of the money and the money got sent out. Then it came back to my USD account...

Is there a way to convert the USD to EUR or transfer my money to the main account (withdraw/pay)? I don't want my money to be stuck without a way for me to use it...

    @New-Crimson-Goose-3699347971#253396 Hey 👋 du kannst bei deinem lokalen Währungskonto auf …mehr > umtauschen gehen und dann die Summe und das Auszahlungskonto wählen. Dann sollte es klappen! 👍🏻

      Hi there 🙌,
      what Markus wrote is the exact process... just a note... the menu is called "Convert", not "Exchange"... you can access from the USD account.. bottom 3 bubble buttons.. choose the one with the 3 dots "..." to access the additional "Convert" option:

      Have a great day ☀️

        @New-Crimson-Goose-3699347971#253396 The money came back to your account, because bunq accounts can only receive payments that are in the same currency as the sub-account itself. So because you tried to send USD to an EUR sub-account, it was sent back. As Markus and GG explained, there's an option in the bunq app to convert currencies. If you use this feature, you can convert the money so you can send it from your USD to EUR account!

          Thank you all! Convert worked like a charm. I appreciate the super-fast help :)

            Hi, i am trying to do the same, but cannot find the Convert option under my USD account. Has this functionality been removed?

              @Ronald-Turquoise-Shark#281459 It's there on Android:

                @thijsoost#281463 Also available in the iOS app.
                You must of course have active local currency account(s), otherwise this option is not available.

                  This worked but I am very disappointed with something. When trying to "Pay" out of my USD account into one of my euro accounts the app should ask me if I want to convert to euros. Instead, it allows me to try to send USD to the euro account which charged me €10 fee and then failed a day later. Very frustrating.
                  I know Bunq has Wise integration so I assumed it would be smart enough to convert it when sending to my own euro account!

                    @New-Indigo-Lion-3038050474#293051 If you open the Euro account and tap the "Add money" button, there's a "Convert" button to convert currencies between your own accounts!
