I’ve tried to signup for a Vodafone mobile plan in the Netherlands and the page only accepted dutch ibans, so its not that true that all ibans are the same….
Rubens That means Vodafone is violating EU law, though. Not sure why they'd do that but hopefully they will get admonished / sued about that at some point. You can help by reporting cases like this on https://www.acceptmyiban.org
Rubens As I said, "All IBANs in Europe should work everywhere". As Jakob stated, some companies are violating laws by not accepting all IBANs, but they should!
