Wife not allowed to the platform

So, after some investigation I decided to move all my banking to bunq. After some small tests it all looks fast, easy and I love the “savings” part. However I have asked my wife to make an account so I could add her to our mutual accounts, but she got some errors when creating. Did the verification process twice and still nothing.

So we have opened a support ticket, guess what; after careful review we are unable to provide you our services?

The idea I had was to share our two accounts while she was having a free account. Did I think wrong? Anyone else got his or her partner rejected?

Albert Hi! The free account plan doesn't support sharing sub-accounts. Your wife needs at least the Easy Bank plan for this to work.

She first needs to be allowed in order to do even that…

Albert Oooh I thought she got the error when trying to accept your invite! I wasn't aware that she couldn't open an account in the first place.

Did bunq support provide any more information? Did she provide a valid form of identification?

Albert By the way, don't forget to tap the 'reply' button when replying to someone, otherwise the other person isn't notified of your reply.

Thijs Nothing so far.. I have asked “why” but no feedback so far. Will check again later and inform here

So, there was an error according to the support team so her account was deleted and just now recreated and validated again. Everything seems to be working fine!

Albert That’s nice. Enjoy your banking together. :D First time I travelled with my partner and we just linked a card to our vacation account, drained it together and then split the rest in the end that was leftover… was really great.
